Roberts = MD + NP
So you wanted to hear a bit more about our story, huh?
Ok, so we’ll tell you a little.
Jim Roberts, MD started his career in EM over 50 years ago. He has worked in EM for decades, published numerous articles/texts and won numerous awards. Martha Roberts, NP started her career about 15 years ago as a nurse and became triple certified in three areas of master practice including acute care, critical care and pediatrics. The Procedural Pause column won an ASHPE award. Both Jim and Martha have taught nationwide at various courses and conferences, thanks to their friends at ccme.org. But we won’t bore you with a CV. We just want you to know, we care about what we do, we want you to have fun and be better.
Besides EM, the Roberts’ like to dabble in fishing. Let’s just say, we know where the barracuda’s are - or aren’t. It depends on the day.
Martha also holds a degree in audio engineering and music…. And is building a small recording studio RIGHT now on her property in Sacramento, CA.
We urge you to take a peek at one of our favorite columns, featuring a fish hook in the ear. You can read it HERE.
In the mean time, stick with us, we are launching our first blog series here on autografts and difficult wound care in the ER with specialist plastic surgery guests at UC Davis. Oh, and there is one thing we’d like to mention. The purpose of this blog is to come together for the patient. We want to highlight our friends in the ER and in academia too. Without them, we’d be nothing.
Stay tuned.
We got you.
